- Competition part of the company’s celebrations to mark the coronation of King Charles III.
Last Month, Stagecoach, the UK’s largest bus and coach operator gave its customers the opportunity to win free bus travel for a year in the Stagecoach King of The Bus competition. This fantastic prize went up for grabs as part of the company’s celebrations to mark the coronation of King Charles III.
Exeter based Matilde Ferreira was one of the lucky winners to bag the top prize of free travel for a year with Stagecoach. Matilde met with Stagecoach South West Managing Director, Peter Knight at Exeter Bus Station in the heart of the city centre, last week to receive her prize where she explained how she was looking forward to using her free travel pass with her seven year old son.
Matilde was one of the many Stagecoach customers who spotted one of the special crowns which were dotted on buses across the country as part of the competition. By sharing a picture of the Crown on social media with the hashtag #KingOfTheBus, she was selected as the winner of this fantastic prize.
Sarah Platt from Manchester and Lisa Turgyan from the West of England were also winners of the top prize, with Sarah using four commuter buses a day to travel to her job at the Ambulance Control Centre.
As well as the country-wide King of the Bus competition, Stagecoach also handed out special seeded cards across some services to celebrate the Coronation, allowing customers to plant beautiful blooms to remember the occasion. Many special commemorative coronation buses also hit the roads in the run up to the event, as the company joined with the community in celebrating this momentous occasion.
