- Stagecoach doubles annual donation to £50,000 in 2025 to help the charity continue to establish more Roald Dahl Nurses to care and support seriously ill children across the UK.
Stagecoach has announced that it is extending its partnership with Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity as part of its ongoing commitment to make a positive impact and support communities across the UK.
In 2024, the Stagecoach ‘Giving for Good’ Committee donated £25,000 to support the charity’s critical work to establish Roald Dahl Nurses in NHS Trusts across the UK to support children living with complex, lifelong conditions.
There are currently over 200 Roald Dahl Nurses supporting over 40,000 children and their families, but the charity – which fundraises to establish these innovative new roles – knows there is work to be done as tens of thousands of families still don’t benefit from this bespoke and personalised care. Building on their legacy, Stagecoach has increased its annual donation to £50,000 for 2025
Stagecoach employees across the UK will also play an active role in fundraising efforts throughout the year, organising local events such as bake sales, pub quizzes, and taking part in sporting challenges to help raise further essential funds and increase awareness.

“Families caring for children who are seriously ill and with complex medical needs are on an exhausting and complicated journey, in and out of hospital across each month. We are incredibly grateful for our partnership with Stagecoach. The team there work so hard to find the best ways to support the charity, Roald Dahl Nurses and the families. That includes their special support helping transport some of the most vulnerable and wonderful children across London for our very special Christmas events.
“Stagecoach’s donation this year is incredible and importantly, every penny of it will go directly to our ongoing programmes and make a difference to the work we’re doing across the UK,” adds Louise.
