Stagecoach names new Managing Director for South bus operations
- Marc Reddy will be joining Stagecoach and take on the Managing Director role from July
- Marc is an award-winning senior leader, who has worked in the bus industry for 30 years, including a number of Managing Director positions across the South of England
Stagecoach has announced today (18 April) that it has appointed Marc Reddy to manage its bus operations in the south. Marc who is currently with First Bus, will take over as Managing Director of Stagecoach South at the start of July.
A key part of Marc’s role will be working with local stakeholders across Hampshire, Portsmouth, Surrey and West Sussex. He will also be responsible for a team of around 1,400 people and over 400 buses that help connect communities across the south.
Marc first joined the transport industry in 1992 at Bournemouth Transport. After progressing through the business to be Coaching Director in 1999, Marc joined First Bus in 2001, initially as Commercial Director for Hampshire and Dorset. He took on his first Managing Director role in 2005 running the Aircoach services in Dublin. He has also led their operations in Devon and Cornwall and the Hampshire, Dorset and Berkshire business. Most recently, Marc has been leading on the franchise bids for First.
Marc gained huge recognition in 2022, by winning ‘Manager of the Year’ at the Route One awards. He is also a passionate volunteer at HM Coastguard in Dorset.
