Stagecoach invests in full-size bus simulators to drive training excellence and enhance safety

  • The simulators are initially being used in training schools in West Scotland and South Wales

Stagecoach, the UK’s largest bus and coach operator, has invested in two state-of-the-art driving simulators designed to enhance driver training and improve safety. The simulators are mobile and built into two Stagecoach buses.

The immersive technology allows drivers to experience different road and weather conditions in a controlled environment and practice their driving skills. This approach helps instructors tailor learning and measure improvement. The Company holds its drivers to high standards of driving excellence and the simulators provide additional tools to practice elements of training.

The buses are currently located at Taff’s Well depot in Wales and Kilmarnock depot in Scotland.
