East Midlands Trains encourages passengers to check before they travel ahead of Saturday’s RMT industrial action

East Midlands Trains will continue to run as many services as possible on Saturday 17th August despite further industrial action being taken by members of the RMT Union.

East Midlands Trains services to and from London will not be impacted and will run a normal service. Services will also continue to operate on most local routes but there are changes to the timetable; therefore passengers are urged to check the latest information before they travel. Services may differ from previous Saturdays when industrial action has been taken.

There are revised timetables and replacement coach services on some routes and customers are advised to check before travel. Timetables are available at eastmidlandstrains.co.uk.

Sarah Turner, General Manager for East Midlands Trains said: “We are very sorry that our customers and colleagues have been affected by this RMT dispute.

“It is extremely disappointing that the RMT are continuing with a further day of action on the last day of our franchise.

"This action is over contracts that have been in place for six years and have not been changed, and were introduced with the RMT's full agreement.

"Once again, our focus will be on making sure we provide the best service for customers this Saturday and we thank them for their patience”.
